Road Trip to Chapel Hill

This weekend, the entire Harris clan made our way to Chapel Hill for Elise's Tri-Delt Parents Weekend (ok, Chloe and I are not parents, but practically!). Lee made the trek, as well, and was the hit of the show wherever he went!

Rolling Over!

They say not to ever leave your child unattended.  I admit, Bryan and I have left Lee unattended many times - playing on the changing mat, playing on our bed, in his bouncy seat.  I mean, really, where is he going to go?  Well....  Those days are nearing their end, I fear.

Today, I was changing Lee in the back of the wagon.  I turned to unload some items from his stroller, and this was the view I had when I turned back!  He had finally rolled over, and I had missed it!  I am not sure if it was an accident, or if he has really figured out what he is doing.

Mom helped Lee pull his arm out from under him (points to accidental roll over)

I tried to get Lee excited about his accomplishment, but he just said, "Stop with all the pictures, Lady!"

First Trip to Memphis

Last week, Bryan had a conference in Las Vegas. Rather than hang around the house by ourselves for the week, Lee and I decided to go to Memphis to meet everyone there. We really had an excellent time. Grandfather and KK created a guest suite upstairs for us that truly rivals some of the B&Bs I have stayed in. It was so luxurious! We got to see Great-Granny, Aunt Chloe, and Toddy almost every day, and we had a big family dinner with all of the Harris uncles and aunts. Aunt Amy came over to hang out with us one day, too. Lee fit right in, and felt right at home at Mommy's old house. The photo above is included, though, to show how he probably felt by the end of the week - overwhelmed with all the chatter! Poor Boy!

No story here; I just had to include this goofy face!

First Trip to Dahlonega

Today, Lee made his first trip to Dohiya Valley for Sunday lunch at Big Papa Bill and Mi-Mommy's house.  After eating lunch in the pavilion, Hardman style, he went with Daddy to hang out around the picnic table with the guys.  I guess the girlie conversation inside the pavilion was just too much for him!

Hike to Red Top Mountain

OK - Mommy is getting the world of blogging, as she can find the time (be patient - there is not always a lot of time!).  There will be several "old" posts, meaning the activities took place a while back.  Then, we will start catching up!

Today, we took Lee on his first hike.  He really enjoyed it - he loved looking at the trees and the shadows and the sunlight playing on nature along the trail.  He also took a good nap in the carrier...he and Daddy were both very sweaty when we returned to the picnic area!  Afterward, we all had a picnic (yes, all of us!).  I hope this is just the beginning for Lee of a love for spending time in the Great Outdoors.

Outdoor Tummy Time

Last week, Mom took me outside for Tummy Time. It was lots of fun.

Also, be sure to check out Bryan's sister's blog for some recent pictures of Lee with his cousin Brant!

Ahh - - time to relax on my chunky arms.

I got to wear my UGA pants last week - - although it didn't help UGA from imploding vs Alabama.

Staying warm on my trip to NC with mom.
