Snoogle

I have a love-hate relationship with my Snoogle. Right now, I love it. I can't lie on my back anymore, and I haven't seen this thing in almost two years. Snoogle allows me to roll over in the bed without worries for all the ways I am not supposed to sleep. By October, I will hate it. It hurts my ears, makes me hot, and becomes symbol of all the comfortable positions I can't enjoy. Lee just doesn't know what to do with it!

I Really Did Try

I promise you, I tried to get Lee to perform - I began taping multiple times, and when I would say, "Lee, where is your nose?" he would yell, "No!" and start to whine. So, I cannot delay any longer, but I really do apologize, because it is so darn cute to hear him respond when I ask him, "Lee, what is in Mommy's tummy?"

Driving in Circles

Last week, we drove up to Chapel Hill for my sister's graduation, then we all set out for the Outer Banks to celebrate, then finally back home to the ATL yesterday. Aside from being proud of Elise, it was a great trip, because it was the first time we had all been to beach since I was in college. Plus, I got to spend more time with my two cousins, Drew and Nathan, than I think I have ever gotten to spend. I hope we can do this more frequently now that there are young cousins in the family. Here are a few photos from the trip.

We took Lee on a nature walk. Adults would take this walk, and think there was really nothing much to see, except a few good views of the water. But with Lee, we saw squirrels, ants, leaves, pine cones, and sticks. He reminds us that everything is new and exciting in God's world.

Ready to HIT THE BEACH!

Learning "tiger toes" from Uncle Andy
The whole crew

Last, but not least, my favorite face Lee made the whole week. I tried to zoom in closer, but I couldn't or you really can't see the whole video.

Watch!

Lee is learning new words all the time. One he likes lately..."Watch!" When he is working his puzzles, we will grab his monkey puppet and demand, "Waakie, watch!"

A day or two later, the required crowd grew when he demanded of his stuffed Peter Rabbit, "Booney, watch!" But he is a benevolent dictator; each stuffed animal gets its own puzzle to monitor.

Rockin' and Readin'

mmmm-hmmm. Love him. He challenges me in every way, but he is a joy.
