Choo! Choo!

Bryan stumbled upon a game Lee really liked on Saturday.  I couldn't decide which video to post, so I am just posting both.  I think my favorite part is the look on his face as he waits for Bryan to begin.

In the second video, he is walking over to hug Bryan.  When he gets really excited, he always turns around to hug me and then turns back to the activity.  I remember being stunned the first time he did this to realize that our desire to share life's moments with another person starts even before we can speak.  Our hearts need to connect with other hearts, and words are not necessary.  We are created that way.

Repetition

Light on.  Light off.  Fan.  Lamp.  Clock.  Window.  Lee, no touch.

It seems like I say the same things all day, with no response, and I wonder if it is sinking in.  I know those little gears are working, making connections that will just pop out one day and I will get to see the fruits of some of these "conversations".

Kind of like us with God, huh?

SGI 2009

Last night, we returned from family vacation on St. George Island, FL.  I am still having withdrawal symptoms.  Leaving the beach leaves a feeling in my chest that almost makes me cry.  Add to that being able to see your whole family every day, and it is a bummer to come home for sure.  But we have great memories, and those are - of course - captured on film.  Enjoy!
