Wrecking Ball

Lee has a current life purpose, and that is to knock down a tower of blocks...or anything that is stacked, for that matter.  Perhaps his purpose will change in time, or maybe he will grow up to be the driver of a wrecking ball machine.  For now, he takes great pleasure in this activity.

Yard Work

Yesterday, we began this year's battle against the weeds - quite a hard battle when neither of our next door neighbors are interested in joining us!  Lee did not love being in the Pack'n'Play until we brought out his jungle friends to join him.  Even then, he mainly practiced standing up a lot!

(In case you are thinking, "What a wife!"  This is what Bryan wanted to do on his birthday!)

New Tricks

I am determined not to be a mom who tries to get my kids to perform for others (who may or may not care to see what my kids can do).  Yet, a friend pointed out to me last week that I referred to Lee's developmental milestones as "tricks".  Oh, well.  I guess none of us can get away from it!

(In case you didn't notice, Lee is standing!)

Third Rung

This is what I see pretty much every time I go in to get Lee from his naps these days.  Needless to say, we'll be moving his mattress down to the lowest level this weekend.

Coordination

It is not taking me quite as long as I had hoped for Lee's coordination to improve.  He moves the arms and legs in sync now, and he is able to move much faster.

First Snow

OK, so it will likely be our only snow here in the ATL this winter.  I admit, when Mimi brought Lee some ski bibs, I thought, "And when will he use these?"  Today!!  He wasn't totally blown away by the stuff, but he did finally put his little fingers into it and try to get it into his mouth!

All in all, we got about three inches!
