Baby's Room Taking Shape

Bryan assembled the bed tonight. Thanks to Nanny for getting the bed for us. It is greatly appreciated (and I'm sure the baby will really appreciate it). Below, you will find a few pictures of the assembly process, the finished bed and the newly painted chest of drawers.

Week 29 Update

Here is the update for week 29. Amelia is feeling well. We spent the weekend in Madison, GA for a final "official" getaway. Also, almost all of the quote is stenciled on the wall in the baby's room (only the "g" in long is left).

You can see the full quote in the two pictures below.

Painting - Part 3

THANKS to Chloe and Elise for their work on the mural this weekend. It is still a work in progress, but it is almost finished. In these pictures, you can still see some stencils taped on the wall and some missing letters (that haven't been painted yet). These will be finished in the coming days.

End of Day 2 Painting

It's the end of day 2. Certain letters of the quote are done and the stencils have been moved to finish the quote. Chloe and Elise are doing GREAT!!
Be sure to look through all the posts from today to see the progress.

Painting - Part 2 (cont)

Painting continues . . . .
The dark tan spots on the wall are stencils for letters that will form the quote that will be on the wall (which Amelia has added to the left side of the blog, below the voting area)
Note: Be sure to read the previous post about our Flea Market!!

Chester Ave. Flea Market

Well, as many of you know, I offered the desk from our office to any and all takers on the blog last month. However, there were no takers (???) - not sure why.

Anyway, the desk had to go (sorry, dad - I know it was a Christmas gift in 1999, but it had nine good years). We had planned to take it to Goodwill today, but were not able to do so. We opened an impromptu "Chester Ave. Flea Market" at 5:05 pm EST. Follow the timeline below:

5:05 pm EST - Flea Market Opens
Sign on furniture says: Free Desk; Has All Parts; Please Take

5:37 pm EST - Flea Market receives first visitor.

5:40 pm EST - Same visitor.

5:55 pm EST - Flea Market Closed.
Ah . . . .the perks of living in the City!!!
More painting pics coming soon!

Painting - Part 2

The mural is taking shape. Elise arrived last night to help Chloe. We'll post more pictures later this afternoon.

Painting - Part 1 (cont)

We have added red to the mural tonight. We are done for the evening. We'll share more progress tomorrow. (By "we", I am referring to Chloe).

Painting - Part 1

Chloe (Amelia's sister) arrived last night and began sketching out the mural this morning. The mural will be patterned after an artist that Amelia enjoys - - Brian Andreas - - who's work is known as "Storypeople." (http://www.storypeople.com/)

There will also be a quote on the walls. Amelia's other sister, Elise, will arrive this evening to help out tomorrow and Sunday.

Starting the sketch.

Amelia tapes stencils on the wall for the quote.

The painting begins!!

More painting (yes - we are still trying to use the room as an office as well.)

New Baby Hardman Pics

We had another doctor appointment this morning. Everything went fine. They did another ultrasound because they didn't get good pictures of everything last time (specifically the heart and stomach). They were able to get the needed pics today and all was fine.

The baby weighs 1 lb. 11 oz. at 24 weeks, 5 days. He/She is right on schedule.

We're looking forward to Amelia's sisters coming this weekend to help paint the nursery. Check back this weekend for pictures of the transformation.

Amelia likes to think he/she has a "ring pop" on his/her finger. as he/she lounges in the womb in a reclined position.

Another face shot - - - less "alien" than last time!

A second face shot.

Looks like an "average" nose.

Close up.

Another profile.

Another of his/her famous foot shots.

A final foot/body shot.
