Seven Days

A lot can happen in seven days.
I can't believe the backyard pictures are only one week ago!

OK, so, I just took Lee outside to play for the first time last Friday. Of course, we have taken him to places outside where we take tons of pictures, but I just haven't taken him out in the backyard. The sunscreen, heat, unfenced yard, working again - they all contribute to my hesitation. Well, he does make a beeline for the street sometimes, but he also walks along the sidewalk... and walks... and walks.... The energy amazes me. The complete disregard for the heat.

Lee was in Memphis, too!

I wasn't ALL about Arden last weekend...

Welcome, Cousin Arden!

We were in Memphis for a quick trip this past weekend to welcome Arden Marie Weeks to the family. I am sure I do not need to tell you how cute and perfectly behaved she is! Lee was mostly disinterested - ok, totally disinterested. But she will win his heart before long! We are so thankful for her safe arrival, and can't wait to get to know her.

He Climbs

I wonder how long before the first big fall? Or, the first foray onto the kitchen counter? Or, generally, the first time I really feel the need to explain that I am not a bad mom because of some crazy injury he has?

Soccer, Not Swings

Yes, we took lots of pictures on the swings, but I will spare you seeing those this time. Instead, I will share Lee's new park activity - walking around in the grass and playing toddler soccer. (NOTE: I thought it was hilarious how I was lazily walking around behind him - just like my second grade soccer days!)

Bossy

When you are a little guy, it is probably nice to have someone whose every move is under your command.
